Dependency Checker error

Nov 25 2009 at 11:01 AM

Hi,

When I run the Configuration Wizard, the Dependency Checker displays an alert box: "AuthorizationManager check failed."

I can't find this check in the dependencies check scriptis; anyone knows what it means?

I am running on a Windows 7 virtual machine, with (hopefully) all the pre-requisites installed.

Thanks, Thomas.

Hi Thomas,

Windows is probably blocking some files that are marked as unsafe. This usually happens when downloading assemblies/scripts from the web.

Using Windows Explorer, select the download ZIP and Right-click > Properties. Check if an UNBLOCK option appears and click it.
Another, more drastic, solution is to just turn off the UAC.

More info here: http://www.petri.co.il/unblock-files-windows-vista.htm

Hope this helps. Let me know if you continue having these issues.

Thanks,

Thanks! Unblocking the ZIP file before unzipping fixed the issue.

Hi, it doesn't work for me, I'm running on Windows 7 Ultimate RC. I have unblocked the ZIP files febore unzip them, and I also have turned off the UAC and I still have the "AuthorizationManager check failed" message.

Another idea?

Thanks!
